This fall the Vandegrift baseball team held a combined fundraiser/charity event with the Honey Baked Ham Co. called “Ham It Up”.

Vipers sold hams, turkeys and gift cards and delivered them in time for Thanksgiving. The fundraiser was led by Amanda Noles and Shauna Upp of the VHS Baseball Booster Club and the booster was able to keep a portion of the sales to put towards field improvements and equipment for the upcoming season.

Baseball supporters also had the option to purchase a ham, turkey or complete meal to be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Austin. The Booster Club is grateful to the community for their purchase of 76 hams/meals to those in need. The Thursday before Thanksgiving, the players delivered these meals and spent some time with the kids in the programs.
