How is the Legacies team?
This year our team consists of 48 highly skilled dancers and performers. Week after week they showcase their abilities in pep rally performances and their traditional halftime show.
What is the main competition schedule?
We are competing at two local competitions in Austin. The first one at Canyon HS is Feb. 9 hosted by Crowd Pleasers Dance company. The second is Feb. 16 at McNeil HS hosted by American Dance and Drill. The Legacies began preparing for competition season months ago and will continue through this fall semester. The girls compete with a total of three team dances, eight small group dances, and solos.
Tell us one thing about you as a coach.
I am a charter teacher of Vandegrift High School. It has been lots of fun and very rewarding to watch Vandegrift grow and flourish. I am proud to have established the Legacies Dance Team, and I am always excited to see all of our dancers perform.
