A donut shop and women’s boutique in Steiner Ranch have recently closed and a children’s shop will be sold or will close in a few months.
The Donut Hole recently closed its store in the Shops at Steiner and is moving to the former Red’s Fresh Foods site at 1700 RM 620 N in Lakeway.
“We will be opening our new location next week,” said Donut Hole partner Rick Landry.
“Our five year contract is up in Steiner and we have outgrown the space for the weekend business. Our new location is almost three times as big with plenty of seating and a drive through and is only four miles from Steiner Ranch,” Landry said.
After nearly three years, 4 Hip Chicks Boutique in the Quinlan Crossing Shopping Center is closed.
“We at 4 Hip Chicks of Austin are sad to go but also excited to be spending more time with family. We have formed friendships and relationships we will never forget. Our staff will also miss you guys, it has been a fun three years. Thank you all so much for being a part of our dream,” said shop owner Deanna Holik.
Children’s clothing and gift boutique Millie & Mox, also located in Quinlan Crossing, is for sale and will either change hands or close in the next several months, said Angela Hession, store owner.
“After three years of putting so much love and time into Millie & Mox, I just felt it was time to pursue other business opportunities and spend more time with my family,” Hession said.
The store features kids fashions, toys and books from around the world, and is the only children’s store servicing this part of Travis County. Through March, there is a 40 percent off sale for all items in the store.
“We have such loyal customers and we’ve made such good friends through Millie & Mox. I’m very proud of the store’s role in the local community as so many families look to us during the different holidays,” Hession said.
Millie & Mox Schoolhouse, the school uniform store located next to the boutique, will remain open under Hession’s ownership.
