Weather and tires contributed to the fatal accident that happened on RM 620 between the RM 2222 intersection and Steiner Ranch Boulevard on March 3.

Camron Renae Williams, 21, from Austin died at scene of the two-vehicle accident, and Brian Daniel Cox, 44, from Austin was transported to St. David’s Medical Center Round Rock, according to Robbie Barrera, Texas Highway Patrol sergeant.

The preliminary report states that just before 10 a.m. that Sunday morning near 6711 RM 620, Williams was driving a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria southbound on RM 620 in the outside lane.

“As the driver of the vehicle entered the curve, the vehicle began to drift into the inside lane due to poor conditions of the tires on the vehicle and the wet road condition,” the Texas Highway Patrol report said. “The driver of the vehicle continued to lose control and went into a side skid through the center turn lane and into the northbound lane of traffic.”

The 2007 Honda CR-V was traveling northbound on RM-620 in the inside lane.  The Honda collided with the passenger side of the Ford.

“The driver of the Ford was partially ejected and later died as a result of her injuries,” the report states.

Cox was transported with serious injuries, according to Austin-Travis Co. EMS. As of Friday, his condition was not known.
