A memorial for Maxwell “Max” Fink will be held on Saturday, February 15 at Unity Church of the Hills, 9905 Anderson Mill Rd, Austin, TX 78750.  The memorial will begin at 11 a.m. 

Maxwell David Fink, 21, of Austin, TX died February 2, 2020 as a result of a tragic car accident caused by a medical condition in Tuscaloosa, AL. Max was a junior at Auburn University studying Mechanical Engineering and also worked at Mercedes-Benz in Vance, AL through a cooperative work/study program. Max was a 2017 graduate of Vandegrift High School in Austin, TX.

From an early age Max had a competitive spirit paired with athletic ability. He enjoyed playing football, basketball, soccer, tennis and track and joined his sister in her dance class. Max was also drawn to music and was a percussionist and student leader in the VHS Viper Band. He had a gift for discovering emerging artists and loved to share their music with his family and friends. He had a deep appreciation for powerful, poetic lyrics that connected to his life experience and world view.

Max had a charismatic personality and lit up every room he entered. He had a gift of making instant, meaningful and deeply personal connections with everyone he met. His ability to accept people for who they were, extend friendship to all, positively impact the lives of others, and live a genuine, authentic life was boundless and unmatched. He touched the hearts and lives of everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. He treasured the relationships with his family, friends, fellow students, teachers, and all those that surrounded him.

Max is survived by his parents, Ed and Denice (nee Nobili), three siblings, Isabel, Henry & Alex, his grandparents David and Patricia Nobili of Medina, OH and Marcyanna Fink of Parma Heights, OH, in addition to numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Max was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Fink.

In the spirit of Max’s love for people, life and strong conviction of leading the world to a better place, he would want to leave a legacy for others to help carry on the ideals he so passionately lived every day. To that end, the Fink Family is establishing a Memorial Fund to create a legacy in Max’s honor that will provide scholarships to assist others in pursuit of their dreams.
