River Place Eagle Scout project fixes rails

Scouting America Boy Scout Troop 159 completed an important Eagle Scout project at Woodlands Park in River Place on July 26. The troop removed and replaced 179 feet of rotted wood railing with fresh new wood, including re-bolting the entire structure to ensure safety and durability. This improvement greatly enhanced the park’s safety and aesthetic appeal for the community, according to volunteers. The scouts were able to use quality materials purchased from the Four Points Home Depot, and Home Depot also provided funds to offset costs. The hardworking scouts featured in the project photo are Andrew Baker (Eagle Scout nominee), Thomas Baker, Elijah Bamford, Noah Bamford, Shrey Patel, Michael Sowul, Liam Lewis, Addicus Lewis, Aryan Pant, Lucas Toth, and Louis Leslie.
