Viper Nation Education adds to board

Viper Nation Education adds to board

While there are some exciting changes for Viper Nation Education Foundation to announce, on behalf of the entire VNEF Board, I would first like to congratulate all Vandegrift graduates and wish each of you much success in your next journey wherever that may lead.

As most are aware, the discussion regarding a proposed merger between LEEF and VNEF was finally resolved, and VNEF will be converting to an academic booster club over the summer.  This change will not affect our mission nor our support for all of the schools in Four Points; however, we expect to announce a slightly different name and logo in August.

As we are officially back in business, we are pleased to announce that we have added several members of our community to the board. Our new additions include Danielle Sherbo, acting treasurer, Dr. R.J. Jackson, Nicole Korensky, Carmen Paz, and Julie Shields. The VNEF Board appreciates their willingness to serve and support our students.

Additionally, Contessa Weinheimer has resigned from the Board and accepted the position of executive director for Viper Nation.  Contessa brings years of experience working for non-profits, and we are very excited about her new role and what we can accomplish with her directing our efforts.

Please join me in welcoming all newcomers to the Viper Nation Foundation and congratulating Contessa on her new position. The board will be hard at work over the summer planning for next year along with our ten year anniversary celebration!

I hope everyone has a chance to relax and enjoy their summer, and Viper Nation will be back better than ever in the fall.

Sincerely,

William H. Farrell
