“Coach Sully has a really great program that sets us up for success,” senior and co-captain Carley Thornton said. “As long as you stick with it, which these girls have every day, it pushes their limits and sets us up for success.”
[front, middle] “I have some lofty goals for state,” senior and state champion Kevin Sanchez said. “Maybe try to shoot for a state record even if it’s a little bit out of reach. I’m still going to try to do my best and hopefully get that repeat gold medal.”
“We’re all looking to place a record at state,” senior and boys team captain Anders Bahrami said. “That would be perfectly ideal, but there’s a chance that won’t happen. It’s a little scary going into it because we don’t know what the outcome will be, but the reality is whatever we get, I’m so proud of how far our team has gone.”
“I think our team has been the most integrated as it’s ever been in my four years at Vandegrift,” senior and boys team captain Anders Bahrami said. “We always go on team hangouts together, we all sit at lunch together and we all just really enjoy each other’s company.”
