Get ready to set sail for an evening of laughter, romance, music and plenty of mayhem
as Vandegrift High School Theatre presents the classic musical comedy
“Anything Goes” October 22-24, 2026.

Set aboard the ocean liner S.S. American, “Anything Goes” follows a hilarious tangle
of mistaken identities, unlikely romances and outrageous schemes as passengers make
their way across the Atlantic. The show features memorable songs, energetic dancing
and larger-than-life characters who prove that when it comes to love and adventure,
anything really does go!

At the center of the story is Reno Sweeney (Avery White), a charismatic nightclub
singer who helps her friend Billy Crocker navigate a complicated romance. Lily
Smetana plays Hope Harcourt, the young woman torn between her expected future
and following her heart, while Caspian Robinson plays Billy Crocker, who stows
away aboard the S.S. American to pursue Hope.

Brayden Acosta portrays Hope’s charming English fiancé, Lord Evelyn Oakleigh,
and Cristian Hernandez Viego plays her wealthy father, Elisha Whitney. Adding
to the chaos are Emmett Olivera as lovable gangster Moonface Martin and Leyla
Oksuzler as his fun-loving partner, Erma.

Directed by Hattie Bergman and Aaron Johnson, “Anything Goes” features a full
cast of talented Vandegrift Theatre students, bringing the characters, comedy and
energy of the S.S. American to life. From the principal roles to the ensemble, these
dedicated performers showcase the talent, creativity and passion that go into bringing
a musical to the stage.
