A local couple opened F45 Training fitness studio last month and hosted a West Austin Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday at 7900 RM 620, adjacent to Home Depot.

“F45 is a 45 minute functional, high intensity, interval training, group class that anyone can do from beginners to advanced members,” said owner David Bohreer, a sixth-degree black belt in taekwondo and Steiner Ranch resident. “What sets F45 Training Four Points there are 27 different programs and over 3,000 different exercises so you will never experience the same class twice.”

Bohreer and his wife, Gina, have a son, Jacob at Vandegrift, and a daughter, Julia at Canyon Ridge Middle School. They have lived in Austin for three years and lived in Phoenix before that.

David and Gina Bohreer with their children Jacob and Julia live in Steiner Ranch. They opened F45 Training a month ago.

Bohreer, a native of Houston and a lifelong fitness enthusiast, owned a studio, Core Strength Martial Arts previous to F45. He searched and found F45 and is bringing the franchise to Austin.

“ A big reason we chose Four Points for the first F45 in Austin, is the strong community ties the residents have and how important it is to stay fit, while keeping up with our kids,” Bohreer said. “The Leander ISD schools are amazing and we plan to be a big part of working with the Viper Nation, showing our kids that health is important to lifelong happiness.”

F45 is its own style of training that combines elements of conventional weight training and cardio with functional movements. It is regarded by industry professionals as some of the most innovative workouts in the world designed to work every muscle group and energy system in deliberate phases throughout the year, he said.

“All members need to do is commit 45 minutes to our team each class to see results, build community, and have fun with their weekly workouts,” said Bohreer.

He added that F45 has celebrity members including from Australia Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman, and in the Dallas Mavericks Harrison Barnes and Terrell Owens, former National Football League wide receiver.

Amy Roberts is the F45 Training Four Points manager/head trainer and the studio has two part-time instructors.
