APD seeks public’s assistance with July 5th shooting in the 400 block of E. 6th St.

The Austin Police Department (APD) is seeking the public’s assistance with locating suspects in the shooting that occurred in the 400 block of E. 6th Street on Monday morning.

On Monday, July 5, 2021, at 2:04 a.m., Austin police responded to multiple shots fired in the 400 block of E. 6th Street. At that time, large crowds of people were in the immediate area. Officers located two victims who had sustained gunshot wounds and were injured. Officers immediately began performing life-saving measures on both victims. Austin-Travis County EMS transported the two victims to local hospitals.

Several witnesses have been interviewed and the investigation is ongoing.
