Vandegrift Legacies perform at Pearl Harbor

The Legacies dance team represented the Vandegrift High School community in Hawaii as they performed alongside the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor.

“The team has been preparing for this moving opportunity all year and we are so proud of them and their performances,” said director Holly Lyons with assistant director Gabby Azios.

The Legacies performed three small group dances and then combined with the Tom Glenn HS Guardians dance team for a beautiful finale number using red, white, and blue props on March 12 in Oahu. In addition to their performance, the team learned about Polynesian culture, hula dance, and took in the local sites. The team consisted of 42 dancers, three managers, and seven honor guards.
