VHS 2022 Homecoming King, Queen & Court

Koustubh Galagali and Juliana Cornell were crowned the Vandegrift 2022 Homecoming King and Queen on October 28 at Monroe Memorial Stadium during halftime of the game against Vista Ridge. LYNETTE HAALAND

Koustubh Galagali and Juliana Cornell were crowned the Vandegrift 2022 Homecoming King and Queen on October 28 at Monroe Stadium during halftime of the Vista Ridge game. 

Cornell is a VHS band member, a soccer player, and a member of the National Honor Society, Club of India, and Habitat for Humanity. 

Galagali is a Viper band drum major, an IB Diploma candidate, an executive of affairs of Rho Kappa, and a member of the National & Spanish National Honor Societies.   

Vanessa Rubio and Sophia Peden were 2022 queen nominees.

Rubio is a social officer of the VHS band and Vision Dance Company, an officer in PALS, member of the varsity choir, Key Club, Relay for Life, and the National and Spanish Honor Societies. 

Peden is a Vision Dance Company member and involved in the National Honor Society, Key Club, DECA, and the luminaria committee for Relay for Life. 

Max Lavorato and Jonah Sims were 2022 king nominees.

Lavorato is a drill instructor for the Viper band and a member of the National Honor Society. 

Sims is the Vandegfit student section spirit leader, a robotics team member, a member of PALS, and the UIL Vandegrift Competition Cheer team.  

The 2022 prince and princess court were juniors James Penver and Sara Bustami, sophomores Kyle Baxter and Shelby Stiehl, and freshman Caleb Luong and Maritza Tomlinson.  

Fellow Vandegrift band members were showed their excited after Juliana Cornell was crowned the Vandegrift 2022 Homecoming Queen on Friday
