Leander ISD Board discussions continue on potential closure of 3 elementary schools including Steiner: More than a dozen local residents speak out during public comment period mostly calling on the board to keep SRE open

Rachel Lilla of Steiner Ranch presented the Leander ISD Board of Trustees with more than 143 hand-written letters pleading with the board not to close Steiner Ranch Elementary. During the citizen comments period of the board meeting, Lilla also shared that more than 2500 signatures were gathered in their “Speak Up for Steiner Ranch” petition to keep SRE open.
