In the evening of Saturday, April 11, a Travis County Game Warden saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and it ran a red light, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

The warden turned on his emergency lights, and the vehicle sped off to elude the warden, the spokesperson stated.

Shortly after, the vehicle crashed into a retaining wall near the intersection of Country Trails Lane and Quinlan Park Road in Steiner Ranch.

The three occupants fled, TPWD stated.

A Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter and six deputies and one K9 unit from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office all came to the aid of the warden and helped search the area.

Two of the three occupants were apprehended. One of the occupants in the vehicle was a minor. The identity of the third suspect is known, according to TPWD.

After a search of the vehicle, drug paraphernalia was found.

As of Wednesday, the case is being presented to the judge for warrants for the three individuals.

The case is still ongoing and as of Friday late afternoon, there were no new updates, according to TPWD.
