Local teen passes away after car accident

Dylan Deuillet passed away on April 11.

Dylan Deuillet, 19, passed away on April 11 as a result of a car accident late in the evening of April 8 in Travis County, southeast of Austin. He was a graduate of the Vandegrift High School class of 2022.

A GoFundMe fundraiser was started which shares: “It is with a heavy heart, we are sharing that Dylan Deuillet passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, as a result of a tragic car accident on the evening of April 8th in Austin, Texas.”

Dylan was taken to St. David’s South Medical Center Trauma Unit and for three days was surrounded by his mom, Danielle, dad, George, and sister, Skyler along with a multitude of family and friends. “(They) who, for three days, talked, prayed, listened to music, laughed, cried and told stories with him. They sat by his bedside and loved on him with all their heart. We believe he heard our words and left us to be with Jesus knowing that he was deeply loved on this earth,” the GoFundMe states.

Dylan decided on his own to be an organ donor. “He’s now saving lives as his last selfless gesture as he enters Heaven,” according to the GoFundMe post. “Dylan was honored Thursday morning April 13th by hospital staff as he departed the hospital for this lifesaving mission.”
