Majestics of Four Points featured in Macy’s Parade

The Four Points Middle School Majestics dance team was part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade where long rehearsals and dedication paid off.

The Majestics made the trip to New York City over the Thanksgiving break.

“They were invited to perform as part of the ‘Spirit Of America’ Dance Team because of their excellent performances and judges awards at the American Dance and Drill Team contest they attended last (school) year,” said Kelly Mabry, Majestics director.

The local team was part of a larger group of hundreds from all over the U.S. who performed together and marched in the parade. They had several days of long rehearsals all together to perfect the routine.

“We spent eight days in NYC to practice and rehearse while also fitting in some sightseeing and shopping,” Mabry said. The group went on the Statue of Liberty cruise, Freedom Tower observatory, 9/11 Memorial, Empire State Building, Central Park, Fifth Avenue and Herald Square.
