UPDATED: House fire in Steiner Ranch started in garage, reports say

Six fire trucks worked a house fire in Steiner Ranch on April 4 in Summer Vista on Delphinus Walk.
One local resident shared that a house caught fire in the morning.
“Started in the garage. No one hurt. Six fire trucks and they got there fast,” according to Steve Brown.

Case report on Monday, April 4 from Glenn Trubee, assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal Travis County ESD No. 6 Lake Travis Fire Rescue:

Single-family residence.  The call was reported to LTFR at approximately 10:30 a.m.  Lake Travis Fire Rescue and Austin Fire Department responded to the incident. Crews arrived on the scene and found the garage on fire with an extension into the residence’s attic.  Crews were able to bring the fire under control quickly.

Fire is currently under investigation by Travis County Fire Marshal’s office with LTFR assisting.

No cause determination as of yet.

Minor injuries were reported on the scene, which were taken care of by Austin Travis County EMS on-scene.

LTFR firefighters saved one animal.
