Vandegrift freshman Keona Benford tied for 6th place in the high jump at the UIL state track and field meet on May 4 at the Mike A. Myers Stadium at the University of Texas. Benford jumped 5-feet, 4-inches and was the only freshman competing in the girls high jump at state.  Photos from Maya Bustami
