The Austin Fire Department arrived around 3 a.m. to 9906 Turman Cv. in River Place to fight a house fire.

The homeowners called 9-1-1 in the early morning hours and were able to get at least one vehicle out of the garage.

“No injuries… everyone got out and one dog was found alive when we did the secondary search, so that’s great news,” reported Michelle Tanzola, AFD public information manager.

“The fire started in the garage and spread to the attic,” Tanzola said.

The cause is classified as accidental.

“The cause was electrical,” said Chris Watson, Austin Fire Department battalion chief.

AFD was not able to determine exactly what started the fire but there were cords and chargers in the garage, Watson said.

The fire caused $250,00 in structure damage and $175,000 in content damage including one vehicle, Watson said.

AFD left the scene around 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 1.
