Travis Co. Sheriff’s arrests armed bank robbery suspect in Steiner

Richard Graham, 49, of Austin was arrested Jan. 16 for armed robbery at Chase Bank in Steiner Ranch.

On Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 1:15 p.m., the Travis County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls from the Chase bank at FM 620 and Quinlan Park Road. Callers reported a man walked into the bank, pulled out a gun, and demanded money. Deputies and assisting officers were on scene in less than two minutes.

LCRA investigates breach of Mansfield Dam security, Protocol shared of critical infrastructure

A security breach at Mansfield Dam on Tuesday morning sent local law enforcement agencies into emergency mode since the local dam is critical infrastructure protected by state law and federal law under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

A Lower Colorado River Authority employee saw a man run by him shortly after he went into the dam tunnels around 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 14. 

The LCRA maintenance worker notified security officers that morning about the unauthorized man he saw.

An authorized person was reported to be within the dam tunnel at Mansfield Dam this morning, according to Phil Wilson, Lower Colorado River Authority general manager.
